SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- If you like cool, moderate temperatures, Monday might be the best day of the week to get outdoors and enjoy the weather. Starting Tuesday, the Bay Area is on track for a warmup that could see above average temperatures across the region for the rest of the week.
The National Weather Service is advising of temperatures that will start to warm Monday with the mercury continuing to rise through the end of the month and into the first days of October. In many places, Tuesday and Wednesday will be the hottest days of the week.

"Enjoy this day of cooler temperatures across the region!" the NWS said in a tweet. "Temperatures will start to warm on Monday before reaching seasonally warm conditions Tuesday through the end of the week."
Concord could hit 97 on Wednesday, Livermore and Morgan Hill could both hit 94, and even San Francisco could approach the 80-degree mark. Temperatures look set to remain high for several days.

San Jose could see consecutive days in the 90s. Oakland will remain in the high 70s to low 80s, and even typically fogged over Half Moon Bay will see temps climb into the high 60s and low 70s. San Francisco could see a spell of pleasant fall weather with the longest stretch of 70-plus-degree weather so far this year currently on the forecast.
While temperatures are expected to warm, we are unlikely to break any records this week, according to KRON4 Meteorologist Kathy Trafton.
